REQUIREMENTS

  • Photos of all walls (from bottom to ceiling) in the electrical rooms, elevator rooms, fire alarm rooms, etc.

  • List of the equipment to be inspected, provided directly by the Engineer/Architect or records, otherwise, we will need to perform a survey.

  • Then, we will provide an invoice with the cost of the inspection.

PAYMENT

  • Full Cost should be paid in advance, to schedule the inspection and receive the report. Checks or Zelle payment to our email or phone number is another accepted method.

DISCLAIMERS

  • Please confirm that your survey is 400A or more before scheduling a survey or an inspection to avoid a minimum charge.

  • If a list is NOT provided by the engineer of records, after receiving the photos from the electrical rooms, and confirmation that we can take the inspection (please see exclusions and limitations), it will be required to perform a survey (paid in advance) to make the list of the equipment to be inspected and schedule accordingly.

  • Some big disconnects, control panels and other equipment, might count as more than 1 piece.

  • If the Engineer/Architect of records provides the list, it should contain the type of equipment, photos and location.

  • If we provide the list after the survey, it needs to be confirmed by the Client or Engineer/Architect of records. We reserve the right to provide the list according to our interpretation, exclusions and limitations.

  • Client or Engineer of records, under their responsibility, should provide, remove, confirm and/or approve, any equipment in the list or at the time of the inspection.

  • If the Client agrees to perform the inspection, it is considered that the list of equipment has been also approved by the Engineer/Architect of records, even if no written communication has been provided.

  • We will inspect according to the list of equipment provided in the survey or by the Engineer/Architect. Survey is only provided as an alternative and we are NOT responsible for omissions.

  • We will state in the report the possible issues and provide only possible causes and solutions. A licensed electrical contractor is the professional in charge of the solutions to make corrections and the Engineer/Architect of records is the professional that approves the corrections made by the licensed electrical contractor. Thermographer does NOT correct and does NOT approve any work.

  • We only provide reinspection services when thermal issues are found in the original report.

  • The original report remains the same after corrections, we do not modify the original report.

  • A new report will be created for the reinspection task.

  • We do NOT reinspect for non-thermal issues found and reported by the Thermographer in the original report, that will be in charge of the Engineer/Architect of records.

  • Clients should be present in the inspection.

Guidelines are not very specific or detailed, some exclusions apply...see below

EXCLUSIONS, LIMITATIONS (unless specifically requested by Client or Engineer and approved by us):

* Meter Centers are out of the scope of the inspection unless Client secures access with the Utility Company.

* Gutters with no splicing, exhaust fans and minor/AC disconnects, are out of the scope of the inspection, unless an expressly written request by the Engineer/Architect of records or Client.

* Equipment on the roof or located higher than 5 feet on a wall, is out of the scope of the inspection, unless an expressly written request by the Client or Engineer/Architect of records, and when provided a proper OSHA compliant ladder (two leg ladder in case of equipment located on a wall).

* If we find broken or defective equipment, broken handlers, covers with problems to be removed, any other problems, etc., that equipment will not be inspected

* Client should be present at the time of the inspection to authorize power off the service, in case needed to remove a cover, otherwise that equipment will not be inspected.

*The equipment might fail when restarting the service, that is not our responsibility and repairs are out of our scope.
